Fire Cat

This book was written by Pippa Goodhart and Philip Hurst.

This story is about a boy and his cat.
This little boy is called John.

One day John woke up from his sleep and he heard some noises so he went to check them out. It was his father and some men all dressed up.  All the men where talking at once.  John tugged on his father's sleeve.  He asked, "what is happening down here because it is loud as a rocket crashing down?"  But his father said, "go to your mother." When he was going to his mother his cat Sammy came and started to rub against his leg.  John picked him up.  He carried him to his mum.  When John was going to his mum Mrs Peppy said, "come with me John." They went up the stairs that went to the top of the tower where the wind blew hard as a giant fan.  Mrs Peppy said look at that.  What a tragic sight it was. It was the London street.  It had been on fire.  There were big giant black clouds of smoke. Three hundred houses had already been burnt.  Johns dad's job was to keep the king's guns and jewels safe.
